We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join our team that designs and builds storage tanks and pressure vessels. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, learn the full journey from customer requirement to fabrication drawing, and grow into independent design responsibilities.

• Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, weld maps and Bills of Materials (BOM) under senior guidance.
• Assist in design calculations such as shell thickness, nozzle reinforcement, roof design and anchor bolts, as per applicable codes (API 650, ASME Section VIII, IS standards).
• Study customer specifications and data sheets and help prepare technical documents for RFQs.
• Help select materials and understand welding requirements with the QA and production teams.
• Coordinate with production on drawing queries and updates.
• Maintain drawing revisions and design records accurately.
• Support inspection documentation such as ITPs and client submissions
• Learn and apply design codes, and suggest small improvements to reduce material and fabrication time.

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; basic knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D software
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, welding, and fabrication processes.
• Good analytical skills and willingness to learn.

• Internship, training or project experience in fabrication, tanks or pressure vessels.
• Basic awareness of API / ASME codes.
• Familiarity with GD&T and MS Excel.
• Clear communication and attention to detail.

To ensure that all incoming materials, manufacturing processes, welding/fabrication activities, and finished tanks comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of tanks and fabricated components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and dimensional requirements.
• Conduct dimensional inspection using Vernier caliper, micrometer, measuring tape, height gauge, etc.
• Monitor welding and fabrication activities for compliance with approved procedures
• Verify WPS/PQR, welder qualification, welding parameters, and weld identification, where applicable.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Test Reports, NCRs, check sheets, and quality records.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and reduce rejection/rework.
• Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials and finished products.
• Coordinate customer/third-party inspection activities when required.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure measuring instruments are within calibration validity.
• Monitor final product quality before dispatch and ensure required documentation is complete.
• Maintain compliance with applicable ISO, ASME, API, BIS/IS, or customer-specific standards, as applicable

• Strong knowledge of tank fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of welding and fabrication inspection.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
• Knowledge of WPS/PQR, welding inspection, NDT, hydro testing, and material traceability.
